So fuel pump number 3, a Carter, ended up not pulling as much as it was supposed to. I pulled it out yesterday to exchange it and noticed something interesting, it looks like somehow the eccentric wasn't fully on it.

I also noticed it has a lot of side to side play, I'm wondering if it walked off the eccentric. When I had the timing case open last year the eccentric looked good, not really any wear. Has anyone with Carter pumps had this issue? I got it exchanged but the new one seems to also have side to side play.
