Fuel pump 307 dead?
Dear friends,
i have swapped the 307 to a rhd chassis and connected the wiring harnesses too. Installed the dizzy for base timing. Had put the two rubber hoses to a can of gasoline and cranked but no starting. Removed one plug and wire and cranked. Spark is definitely there. Put a spoonful of petrol in to primaries then it fired for a second and died. Then i removed the spark plugs and Batt lead to dizzy (just to ease the poor starter motor), removed the metal line that goes to carby at the pump end and cranked. No fuel coming out of the top opening. That means the fuel pump is dead isn't it?
or am i missing something here like priming the pump or anything like that? Both these rubber lines were immersed in a can of gas right at the engine
How the inlet line immersed in gas. Cranking gives no fuel out from the metal hole
