Ok....I made the mistake of trusting my 41 year old gas sending unit...ran out on way to gas station. Since I have refueled, the gas in my see through filter is coming in spurts....almost empties before it replenishes. Gotta be either pump or blocked sending unit....any one had this?

 

So long as it's running okay, it's normal. Don't worry about it.

Gonna try that MDchanic! Just has always been 3/4 fuel level in filter everytime its been running prior to this.......

 

It's just an air pocket in the filter. Not a big deal. So long as the engine is running properly, don't worry about it.

 

It was fuel pump if anyone interested.......kept not getting enough fuel, flow looked weak, slight lag when hitting the gas,etc. Took 30 minutes and 25.00.....runs excellent again. Running out of fuel is rough on Big red apparently. Wont happen again!
