Frame pads for 350 Olds SB to '64 A-body

Looking for frame pads. Haven't found them online. Help if you know where I can purchase a pair. Also is the mounts that came with my olds V8 the correct pads for the mounts when I find them? Thanks for your help!

Reverse that last line to "are these mounts correct for if/when I find the correct frame pads"

I can't tell by looking at it which mount this is. But Joe created a very good thread discussing motor mounts and the metal frame pads. Check this out and see if it answers your questions.

Sorry I'm clearly having a discussion with myself and putting it on the forum. Found the mounts at summit and they don't work with my application. Trans-Dapt Performance Motor Mounts 9592

You shouldn't. I've probably got a set but don't know if I can located them in a timely manner. But there should be several members here that can provide them. Any 1964-68 A-body would have the correct ones. I don't think they're repop'ed but good used shouldn't be a problem.

With that thought, create a parts wanted thread. I'm sure someone will offer up a set at a fair price.

Hi larams

according to joes list all you need are the 2261 engine mounts. These are not exspensive and can be bought at the local auto parts store summit ebay rockauto or any of the usual suppliers fusick et all.

what may be in question (idk) is if your car w a buick v6 uses those 2261 engine mounts too. That may be a bit of a rarer option that was not considered when the list was made.

so if you have 2261 engine mounts and they dont come close to fitting you need 64-68 frame mounts which should not be hard to get thru here.

I just looked up the trans dapt 9592

that would be for bigblock cars so you need the 2261 engine mount. If you post a pic of your frame pad hopefully someone can tell you if it will work w the 2261 engine mount

Why do you need frame pads? The 330 is externally identical to the 330 that came in the 64.

Joe,
OP's is an original V6 Buick engine car. Can he use the Buick frame pads? I think that is part of the confusion.
Thanks

Ah, got it. No, the Buford pads are not the same. Any 1964-72 Cutlass pads for an Olds V8 will work, so long as the motor mounts match the frame pads.

Yes, those will work. That particular frame pad requires Anchor 2261 motor mounts. I don't know what your local parts store gets for them, but 2261s are about $4 apiece at RockAuto.

Thanks for your expertise. I saw your post from 2010 and was not fully understanding. I'm truly a greenhorn working towards being a novice eventually. Thanks again 👍
