Found a SMW 403
i have one the the unicorn 403 SMW yeeeet how much do u think it is worth i can put pics of code to prove it as well its a 554990 4A with the heads code is 4a as well complete with intake and all ^_^

getting some right now just found out what was and kinda jumped gun im about to post some right now waiting for email of the pics from my parents phone i broke mine so just bear with me but trust me i have a 554990 4A block my question just with out pics if its real and all how much do u think it is worth jw ? and do u know of the specs and what it came out of idk really anything about olds my dad is though and hes 60 and never seen one before so he don't even know how much its worth or specs or what it came out of

That casting number only proves it a 403. Any pics to prove the solid main webs? Let me guess didn’t get pics of that because you don’t want to take it apart, it’s in a car, or you don’t have access to it.

yes i can take it more apart i just figured it out i got most apart do i need take crank out of it for better pics but i can take a pic of the oil pan is off but i got some stuff i gotta take care of but i will take all it apart rest the way tomorrow though for better pics but im go take a pic of the webbing that i can see brb give me 15 mins

that's as good as i can get till i take the crank out tomorrow deff never seen anything like this before like i said i no reason to lie the 554990 4A code is the SMW code theres one other code that is a SMW as well 557 something cant remember but almost dead positive this is a a 403 SMW block know that we got the pics out the way and all this ill get better pics of webbing tomorrow but what do you think it be worth and what did they come out of and or specs its complete engine with intake and heads

I moved your post to its own thread, no need to open old threads or post in multiple places. Will wait for more pictures, but highly doubt it. There was a reward posted years ago by the late Chris Whitt, for a very large sum of money. It was on here, ebay, and probably other places. I'm sure if one existed it would have shown up long before you found what you think is one.

my dad is disabled and hes been sitting on this block for over 25+ year something along those lines and he don't use the internet and very large reward like how much ? do u think hes still alive and do u have a way of getting ahold of him ?

what you talking about what window? and I don't know much about cars im just trying to help my dad hes the one that knows everything im just one helping with the computer part of this and still not good at forms at all okay well im try find a someone with a mic and get that pic for yall but I bet money this is a 403 SMW my dads close to 60 now and has had it for a very long time and has built over 400 hot rods in his day and if he says hes never seen a 403 like it before deff better start digging but anyways ill take crank out tomorrow and try find someone with a mic I can barrow to get that pic its gonna be funny if this is a real one deff gonna rub it in some peoples faces xd

wasn't there only 2500 made give or take right well that being said just think about it that's only 2500 people that had it right ? and most the people back in the day that does have one normally 60 percent of older people don't even use computers or anything like that and could say probably half those 2500 didn't even know it was a SMW even is or if It was advertised that it was in it right so that makes the numbers or people actually haven them and knew what they had or seen that large sum of money reward ur talking about right so logically speaking here would make it where a lot of the people never seen or herd of them maken it the myth js and how is people gonna know its real threw pics if no ones seen real pics right so the only way to prove that its a real one is to get the bore being measured from below I guess ??

ill take the crank and pistons out tomorrow get a better view then if 403 SMW was never made then what is this then ? jw hopefully I can find a mic and measure the bore from below maybe idk we all deff find out together tho

also there is numbers and letters on the rods witch I think is kinda weird as well my dads saying that hes never seen any that had lettering like that as far as he can remember is that odd or normal? 975cas and other side has bo199 those are around the caps of the rod and on the rod itself has a CX on it

im still a lil confused its looks some what like that but not idk well see tomorrow when I take all that stuff off it for my dad so like whats the diff in the (some call web) blocks and this SMW means no window or has window

Make a engine package with big HP making bores and small main housing bores-then put windows in the block so when you do make power with it the main bulk heads self destruct. Unbelievable
