Chris Witt in MI has a standing high-dollar reward offered to anyone who can produce proof of one. He's still sitting on his money.
If I had to guess which cars might have gotten one, it would be 1977-78 Toronado, maybe 77-78 wagon, maybe 1979 TransAM.
But people have yanked the original 403s out of all those cars and torn them down, and still nobody's ever seen one.
Maybe that .015 over E-block 400 is where the SMW 403 myth came from.

I am starting to think there are certain things that should be put at the top of the first page on this board. A few examples would be:
(1.) There is no such thing as solid web mains in a 403
(2.) There is no difference in headers for a Cutlass Supreme
(3) Which motor mounts to use when converting a 350 to a 455
(4.) If you are putting a Chevy engine in an Olds, you will not get the welcome mat rolled out by many people.
