My opinion is they're junk. The ultra cheap price pretty much tells you what their quality is like.

I have never used them myself but I have heard others complain of them not sealing at the head. I have also heard numerous people say that they are not parallel at the collector.

I had a set that i never used, but i heard a lot of people saying that they didn't seal at the head well, plus they hang fairly low. I sold them and bought stainless ones from Smitty. I haven't installed them yet, but the quality looks top notch.

To be honest your best bet for a budget header is Hooker.

Look at the Hedman Elite headers. Thicker tubes, 3/8" flanges and ceramic coated. I like my Sanderson shorties but they require custom down pipes. My Flowtech A body headers needed double gaskets to seal and the ceramic peeled and rust pitted pretty quick.

x2. To be honest I did a quick review of these headers when I installed them on my 66 and the fitment was descent very few bangs and they did not leak. I gave them a descent review. Now after a few hundred miles and retorqing the collector bolts several times they def have a flange leak (gaskets also changed). To me it was these or kooks which I beleive are now up to 1000. Personally I would not use these again, learn from my mistakes.

I ran a set of the Flowtechs for a while on my 87 with a SB. No sealing issues but still cheaply made. They ended up at the scrapyard after trying to give them away.

i have a brand new set of flowtech ceramics for my 71 that are going to be installed in about a week. I'll let you know how that works out. Also getting the rest of the exhaust done as well. The flanges on these do look pretty thin. For 300 bucks I hope I dont have any sealing issues. Eventually I'll upgrade to higher quality later on..

Now more left laying around. Loaded up a truckload of stuff and off the the scrapyard it went. Had 2 1/2 inch exhaust, mufflers and tailpipes that went in the pile as well. Only thing that I was able to sell/give away was the x pipe.

i think im gonna get some headmen headers and do a x flow exhaust with eather flowmasters or round turbo pipes. then turn them out infront of the back tires with some nice 2 1/4 chrome tips. im gonna make my 307 sing.
