where can one purchase a factory cam that gm used in origanal builds? am looking for a 402486 cam part number for a 1973 350

There are sooooo much better cams out there today...

You are talking a low compression smog motor cam.....

If you are rebuilding your motor why not put a cam in it that takes advantage of todays technology verses 1973??

 

If it were mine, I'd put in a Com Cams High Energy 260 for a nice idle and mid range, or 268 for a bit more and a little roughness to the idle. Nice cams for power and mileage, not expensive. By 73 the factory stuff was retarded, either the cams or timing gears, for emissions, and I would avoid them if possible.
