Does anyone have tips on how to reach the back 2 bolts on a 1969 cutlass 350 with factory ac? Tried an open end and a 1/4 drive 9/16 socket, but can’t seem to reach those bolts with the manifold shroud keeping the clearances very tight.

 

Would removing the tire and inner fender help?
I did that on my VC to do multiple things under the hood (Brake Booster,Wire Harness, and Manifolds)

 

Ended up cutting a piece out of the shield surrounding the pass side exhaust manifold that supplies heat to the carburetor.
About two inches down from the bolt location was enough to fit a 1/4 drive 9/16 socket in there.
Car is back on road after about 4 months!
