Can Anyone Recommend a brand or part number for some Exhaust manifold gaskets? I have FelPro on there now. I tightened down a little. Still a little leak. Want metal gasket. I have a 72 Cutlass Supreme. 350 Rocket. 4bbl

 

Remflex. Steel core graphite. The best I've ever used. Just pay attention to the torque spec. If you overtorque the bolts and crush them, they are worthless.

I have actually used Permatex Optimum Grey RTV with or without gaskets to seal manifolds. My 5.9 Dodge had a broken bolt and no gaskets, it still sealed. I used it with Cooper gaskets, Optimum Grey on both sides to get rid of an annoying leak on my Olds 350. It is much firmer and more conspicuous than Ultra Cooper and good to 700 degrees Fahrenheit. Olds didn't use gaskets from the factory but we saw the occasional one come in leaking. Your surfaces are probably less than true causing the leak.

 

I have no problem using FelPro exhaust manifold gasket. I apply a small bead of Permatex RTV High Temp Silicone on both side of the gasket, let it cure for a few minutes, slide it in and bolt it up.
