Exhaust Manifold

Has anyone installed Thornton's small block manifold and used the heat pipe shroud? I bought a new shroud and I can't get it to fully seat on the RH manifold. Even the old one has the same problem. Slight difference in Thorntons manifold. It is close but just won't slip over the manifold. Wondering if anyone else has had the same problem. I have not contacted Thorntons yet to see if their manifold is designed to work with the heat shroud. I could probably force it to get it to work. Just wanted to get some other opinions.

This topic has been up at some point, with same conclusion. Little massaging was required for the shroud to fit well.

Well, being that I can't get my heat shroud to fit over my new exhaust manifold, I decided to replace my old snorkel air cleaner assy. and go with an Edelbrock 14 inch round
air cleaner, along with a K&N crankcase breather (push in type). The new air cleaner assy has insructions for connecting a crankcase breather. My question is, do I need to connect
my breather to the air cleaner or can I use one without running it through the air cleaner. I am in Florida and we do not have vehicle emissions inspections. Is that something they
mention just in case you happen to be in California?

No, you can just use the universal open round style.
