exhaust manifold heat shroud

Hi , got a question on installing the exhaust shroud on my 455 . I am using reproduction W&Z manifolds and the inline tube shroud . I have shroud installed on the manifold and something just does not seem correct . Is the shroud supposed lock onto the bottom of the manifold and fit somewhat tight on the head stud? Mine seems to be off as when it is hooked on the bottom of the manifold it is just flush with the stud end . Do the shrouds conform and tighten up as they are tightened up or is mine just a poor made part? Would appreciate a pic if possible on how the shroud appears on an original setup . Thanks .

I just installed one from the parts place on to Thornton repro manifilds and it fit perfect. Make sure it’s hooked on the tabs under the manifold. Should not need to make it “conform” to fit properly.

I found the shroud from Inline Tube fit perfectly on the original exhaust manifold.

Thanks guys, found out today after looking at things closer that mine must not have been bent fully at the bottom or was somehow tweeked out of shape where I had it stored. I locked it on the tabs and with a little bit of patience got it formed backed to fit like it should .
