What should the compression check be on at '69 350. Mine is stock.
Also what would the ideal vacuum pressure be at idle?

Lots of variables on an older motor, but look for compression no lower than 120 on a motor still tight enough to run well...Vac. depends on cam, but a stock set up should be 15 or more inches merc. and steady if no leaks...

Thanks! I am getting a very steady 19 on the vacuum gauge. I may just wait on the rebuild I was thinking about as long as the compression seems good. It was lower but some small carb adjustments brought it up and smoothed it out.
