For $2500 OR less, you can buy a whole car with a running 403 in it... That owner will most likely have that engine for a long time...

I know I can. For 2500 I can just rebuild my old one. All he kept some saying is it rare to them.

I found one in a wrecking yard in Eastern New Mexico for $300, running, still in the same '77 Buick Electra. I waited too long and it was gone before I could get it, they sold the whole car. Unless it is the only non-windowed block in existence it is not "rare". For $2500 you could have a very nice upgraded rebuild. He is asking new price for a well used stock engine. Like mentioned, you could probably buy a whole car with a running 403 in it for that price.

You should put your location in your user name. Someone near you may get in touch with an engine. I use to sell engines 20 years ago for more than guys are willing to pay now days. I very seldom sell a whole engine anymore. I sold one 330 crank and one 425 crankshaft and damper/flexplate last year, both for a "fair" price. One can't be to cheap or guys like me will just sit on them. Jmo.
