Edelbrock Intake Manifold?

Could anyone let me know if the Edelbrock Performer RPM Intake Manifold will bolt on to a 1964 Olds 330 without any problems, i run a non ac/330 with power steering and brakes, stock 4 barrel intake manifold with a manual choke 600 eddy carb and cleaner, understand the Edelbrock RPM is almost 2 inches taller i believe,#7111 intake, is there any issues i should be aware of? Im shooting for more performance over the mid to high rpm range, found a good deal, Thanks everyone

Should not be a problem since you have the manual choke. I have an older Edelbrock OL4B on my 330.

Yes, it will bolt on without any issues. Will there be adequate hood clearance is another issue altogether and depends upon your carb and air cleaner choices.

The Performer RPM will fit on a 330,I have one on my '65 Cutlass but you will not be able to use a 3" air filter. For a number of reasons you would be much better off using the Air Gap model.Edelbrock "fixed" the heat issue with this model something I am still trying to sort out with my car

Does the performer manifold, by itself, give a noticeable increase in performance over the stock manifold in an otherwise stock engine?

Did Edelbrock ever come out with a Air-Gap intake manifold for the sbo/early 330's? Just curious everyone, and thanks for all your time and reply's, but what years do the accessories interchange with 330's to the 350's? Water pumps/heads/power steering pumps? Had me a little curious, sure seems like alot of stuff they sell for small block olds starts with 1965+, maybe its just a catolog error with some companies. Are the 1964 Cutlass small block owners still without options for headers? Thanks everyone.

Kinda depends upon what you are starting with. On my '70 and '71 Cutlass 350s I didn't notice any performance difference.

There may be a small gain but hardly enough to notice with the regular Performer. The RPM will gain especially in the higher rpms, 2" of extra height help. At the same time on a stock engine with a tiny cam and weak valve springs, gains will be minimal. Pretty sure there are still next to no headers for the 64-67.

They don't make an air gap style for a small block so that's a moot point. Sorry.

If you mean vapor lock issues, look no further than your Edelbrock carb, yet another issue with them. The only time I ever got vapor lock with a Qjet was when I was hitting 230+ degrees with my 403.

That's kinda what I expected. So a 1" or 2 " spacer on a stock manifold would probably help? Has anyone tried this?

I thought both the 1" 4 hole and open helped on the regular Performer manifold. Put the thickest phenolic spacer you can fit, if you are having vapor lock issues.
