Distributor Clocking

I've replaced the TH350 with a 200-4R transmission and the dipstick for the transmission is too close to the distributor and interferes with the vacuum advance canister. I can stab the distributor with the vacuum advance on the LH (drivers side). Are there any concerns or problems with this solution? Thanks!

If it clears everything that is needed and there is enough room to rotate it to set the base timing it will work exactly the same as any other position you could put it in.

Good luck!!!

X2 as above, as long as there is enough clearance to rotate it to get your timing set and the firing order is correct the distributor does not care.

Please let us know how your Fi Tech install goes. I am starting with a known Holley to break in my 403, but then would like to change to EFI soon after.
