crankshaft pulley 350

know i'm confuced,

i thought that all the 350 used the same crankshaft puley's.

i got a 350 engine in my 69' delta 88 and want to replace my crankshaft puley.

saw it at fusick under cutlass section, but now it seems that it will not fit my delta 350?

where is the difference in it?

Crankshaft Pulley: Two groove pulley replaces GM # 405459. Fits 1970-77 all
V8s except A/C or H.D. cooling, and all 1972 W30 models.
CSP59 Crankshaft Pulley 1970-77 Cutlass/442

now i proberly have the HD cooling fan 6 blade 19a 20 inches?
no idea why, i don't have A/C on it.

are there many sort's of 2 groove pulley's used on the 350?

There are 3 different length pulley sets because there are 3 different length water pumps. Thus the crank pulley needs to be matched with the water pump pulley. and the number of grooves will change as well. A 1, 2, or 3 groove depending on the options (there were even 4 groove pulleys on 307s, but that won't apply to you).

As Randy noted, the crank pulleys aren't specific to the engine, they are specific to the installed options. If your car has A/C you need a three row crank pulley. If you do not have A/C (alternator is on the passenger side) you need a two row crank pulley. It doesn't matter if it's a 350 or 455.

Post the letter code on your crank pulley, and someone on here should have one. Is yours ruined?

a shall surche for that letter.

got a 3 row on it, and a 19 inch 6 fan so it is possible that someone got my AC

mine is a bitt off, someone tried to get off the balancer.
got my a new one not original but a tuning part balancer, and the pulley swings a bit.

And do not want to wait till the cranck seal starts to drop

There is usually an S, and then a 2 letter code opposite of it.

Question #1: What is the water pump snout length?
5.1, 5.6 or 6.1?

Question #2: What is stamped on the water pump pulley? (need a clear answer here)

Question#3: what is stamped on your power steering pulley?

They are usually all stamped K something, so
not enough information yet.

399405 Should be a KC crank, not a KE or KB

from the pic he sent. It looks like he has a mis match pulleys from an A/C set up.
But the car does not have A/c. At some point the engine was changed or was in a crash and needed new pulley's and water pump.
So now need to measure the water pump and find the pulley's to match for a non A/C set up.

Agreed. Or he can just run AC pulleys and an ac style alternator bracket on the driver's side.

Why do you need to change the pulley? It looks like they are doing the job.
Is there a problem with the crank pulley?

64 rocket,

the pulley wibbels, is a bit off. former owner tried to hammer the pulley and balancer off the crank.
so i allready had to buy a new balancer

and i'm scared that my crank seal is gonna leak trough this

there are 2 holes where i put my extra wires trough

i think i have the KC 399405
3g - 7.5 x 3.0" 1.230

Even when it is not correct to my waterpumppulley.
if you see if i put on a ac there are not aligning with the other pulley's.

my waterpump snout is to far back to use the first one.

And i do not know if i have to worry when te crank pulley is not blanced right.
