Angry Connecting Rod Bolt help.

So once again I have ran across problems with rebuilding my 330. The torque wrench was all messed up and broke one of my bolts. Soo now I'm on the hunt to try to find just a couple not really a whole set. I have however found a set through summit and was wondering if anyone happen to know if the 350 bolts would work on my 1965 330 engine. I have added a link if someone wants to look into this. I would REALLY appreciate it since I am terrible at the little things. Thanks for all the help!!

I have a few spare rods from a 350 same as 330 . You can have for just shipping. If that helps. Then you can just take the bolts out fro those rods etc.

If you overtorqued some other rod bolts, they should all be replaced. The bad new is that you need to check the rods carefully because the caps may not be perfectly indexed with the new bolts.

What if he had a full set which I have and can ship. From a low milage 350. Full rods w/caps. You just have to have the pistons pressed of the rods.

Btw.jvock6 I'm in chicago. Figure out what you need and we can work something out. Pm me but make sure they will. Work I know the big diffrence between 350's and 330's is the cam bank angle. So if those rods work for you pm me.

We'll I can always use spare parts. I can try to find out to make sure they will work. But if all else fails I'm sure the bolts would at least work which is the only part keeping me from getting my engine back together. haha

You don't want to just use a couple rods from another engine, you have to think about weight differences.

I would look for reconditioned set of rods that have been balanced, probably be the same price as buying rod bolts and having them replaced on your old rods.

i have to agree with sbo rule recon vs. new rod bolts id get the recons. The reason i said a full stock set is you can check the wheight etc and make sure they are withing factory low and high limits if he is doing a stock style rebuild. jmo.

i'd pull all your rods/pistons out and have them checked out at a machine shop... if you broke a couple bolts you can just about bet that some of the other bolts have stretched...
i know it sounds like a hassle but do it right and do it once!

okay first of all everything has been checked by a machine shop! I'M NOT USING THE RODS. I just simply need ONE connecting rod bolt. Which I was going to take from on of the extra rods listed above. Thanks for all your help but this post has gone in a totally different way than what I need answers. I simply need to know if 350 connecting rod BOLTS will fit in the rod of my 330. Coopercutlass if they have bolts I'll take whatever you got. If not then I guess ill just order some from the link from summit.
