if you did put all the vacuum hoses at the right place, and sure nothing is leaking try sucking on the vacuum advance hose
when its working properly you must see some small movement on the vacuum advance

is the compression ok?

Robert, make sure you have a good tight seal on the baseplate. Any air leaks into the manifold from any source other than the top of the carb is going to adversely effect the air fuel ratio and the carb's operation. Even a vacumm leak someplace else on the manifold. What is your manifold vacumm at idle?

Thnks for all of the info, I tried all of the things you suggested, and everything was OK, i started it and let it warm up and now it runs just like a song, whatever the problem was, it is gone now, thanks oldsguy and Gerlof_1, I cant wait until the road dries off this week and I can let her stretch her legs.

Thanks again.
