Cam question

Is there a point to putting a slightly lumpier cam in my 64 330 If I do nothing else? I want to keep stock intake/heads and use thornton exhaust manifolds. If it's acceptible, which cam?

Do you know if your engine is the high compression or the low compression version? I don't know the specs on that year cam, but there is usually some room for improvement over most factory cams. You can't go too much larger without the risk of over-camming the engine, so you need to know the factory specs so you have a starting point for determining how big is too big.
