That link is to the Mondello shop in Paso Robles and they have a VERY bad rep on this site. That page describing the cam may very well be a creation of the owner and not the same as the original.

Do a search for Mondello on this site before you spend your retirement at that shop!

P.S. since you're in Florida, reach out to Mark Remmell, cutlassefi is his user name on this site. He is in central Florida and can help you with your camshaft needs.

Oh, don't worry, I know all about Lynn Welfringer and the history. I've been into Olds since 1996. I have followed that sordid saga for a long time. I just meant that the current JM 20-22 spec is different than the original Engle grind that our beloved Joe P posted.

I don't post much here, but those who know me from RealOldsPower (the original) know all about me haha.

Good to know. I have been lucky enough to never have dealings with Lynn, but being a SoCal boy myself, it leaves a bad stain on the the idea of the whole SoCal automotive image.

Bringing this back up. What is a good cam that has similar specs to the Engle in this thread? I need to find something that is actually in stock somewhere.

I should probably just call Mark LOL.

Yeah, Mark happened to have a mild roller on the shelf that worked for what I wanted. I figured it was better than waiting forever and a day for custom roller. He might have something hanging around.

Looks like the compression is lower than I thought. Mark is going to recommend a relatively small single pattern cam.
