It's been raining and raining here in Boise what a PITA!
I was standing in the garage yesterday looking under the hood at my new air cleaner and thought how can I get more air flow to the carb, so I cut down the front of the new design Holley choke horn to match the old ones and I measured the gap between the hood and the top of the air cleaner and found I had a extra 1/2" so I used some self adhesive 1/4" foam and spaced the filter up a 1/2", so I gained between cutting the carb and adding spacers about 7/8 of an inch of additional space over the horn.
Probably won't notice any difference in how the car runs but it killed about 3 hours of time yesterday farting around.
Thank God the sun is suppose be back out by Wednesday, I'm running out of worthless projects to do.

 

Looks good! That is what I call "progress"! Sometimes i will do some "simple" little projects that just eat up time like nothing. Much more productive than watching toilet flushing videos on youtube... On the other hand, a john that can flush 25 golf ***** with one gallon of water IS quite impressive.
