Adjustable Pushrods

Hey Everyone,

In rebuilding my 350 motor, I'm on the hunt for some adjustable pushrods and was wondering what others have used? What they like? What they didn't like? I've found the Dick Miller set that go from 8.250" - 8.437" but not much else. Has anyone used them? Have feedback? I haven't measured the base lobe of my old or new cam so not sure yet how much difference there is. Just starting the hunt for pushrods now though to see what's available.
Thanks.

I put adjustable pushrods in my 71 350 back in about '96. Then later in about 2010 I replaced cam and lifters and went to use standard pushrods and found were too short. (difference in base circle like you mentioned) So, I reinstalled the adjustable ones and been fine since. It seems like I remember it was a PIA to set each indvidual pushrod to make plunger of lifter (I think) .040 ??? I ordered those adj pushrods from the old Mondello co. My engine is stock type and doesn't have high lift or high valve spring pressures. So if you're building a race type engine I've heard you don't want to use adjustable push rods. But in my case they have worked fine for probably 50,000 miles or so. Let us know how you come out.

Well, I've decided to go a different route. I'm going to order the pushrod measuring kit from Smith Bro's, measure what I need and then order the correct length set from them. It will be better. I want to retain my A/C so I'm going to stick with the factory rocker system. It will easily last the rest of my driving days.
