#8 Heads on a 70' Olds 350

Are #8 good heads for a 70' Olds 350. How are #8's compared to the rest?

It is claimed that the #8 heads don't flow as well as the earlier 350 heads. But, the main issue IMO is that the #8 heads have a huge chamber and will significantly lower the compression ratio when bolted on an engine with stock pistons.

If you want to drop the compression back down and still have hardened seats I have some early 7A head cores I will sell cheap.

No thanks gearhead but thanks for the offer. I just wanted to know as I had this motor in my car before i cooked the bearings. This combo seemed to run very nice getting tire spin hitting second gear in a 4000lb car. I think I'm just going to put a set of bearings in it and put it back together as a cruising motor. Thanks
