79 H/O fuel pump to carb hard line.

I am looking for a new hard line between fuel pump and carb for my 79 H/O.
Not having much luck.
Anyone know if a 403 Trans Am line would be the same?
I am looking for a fuel pump also.
Any recomendations??

Thanks. Doug

No luck finding a part number for 79... I did find a part number for 84 thru 90 which fits 307-Y, 307-9, & 5.0/9 --- 22506485... Maybe this will help in your search...

There is no 79 part number that I can find. Back in those days, they had the fuel line they just cut and flared the piece they cut from the roll and made their own.

Classic Tube sells one of the 22506485 style ones for $24.99 before taxes/shipping, whatever. Their part number of CUC1008-OE, made of steel line. They have a stainless steel one as well, for $7 more, but, why? I don't know anything about the aftermarket units. I've only ever dealt with the GM ones.

In fact, the parts book even says that pipe is cut from bulk. There was no pre-bent replacement.

The 22506485 should physically fit most 307/350/403 with Qjet with the front facing 1" filter nut and an angled fuel pump outlet boss, I believe 72-up? Not sure if the smaller 7/8" filter nut works. It may with a bit of tweaks, I'm not sure.

It does look like a slam dunk for a 79 H/O, though, as the pipe wraps around the driver side of the T-stat housing and bends back sharply to make the bends to go into the filter nut just like the original pipe. That last bend before it goes into the carb is about 1-5/8" long, and there's only 2" between the front of the filter nut and the back of the T-stat housing for clearance.

The only potential problem is the angle and orientation of the outlet fitting on the fuel pump. If both applications use the same P/N pump, then that's not an issue.

6470330 is the pump for 79 350R and 403. Also fits most 76 455 applications. It has the angled outlet fitting, so it's good to go to use the pre-formed tubing. Should fit the 79 H/O pump (assuming stock) with no issues.
