72 olds cutlass convertible air

Does it make sense to remove compressor and cap hoses on non functioning air conditioner that I will not be needing or repairing . I have no idea how long not working as pevious owner said it had been broken for some time and it apppears to be true . I would love to eliminate the under hood clutter and save the parts should they ever be needed . .

Is this a simple process straightforward process or a total pita

I see nothing wrong with it and have done it on many cars. However I usually strip out the Airbox and replace with the non air plate.
