69 cutlass 350 tune-up

does anyone have the spec's on tuning up a 69 cutlass with a 350 rocket, auto trans and 4 barrel (dwell, timing and piont gap)

Don't know exactly off the top of my head but 10 degrees advanced with vacuum dis-connected would get it running, dwell should be about 28 to 32. I was just doing some morning maintenance on the site and just saw you post come up and wanted to say Welcome to CO.

There is no listing for the point gap in the service manual, just the dwell. 30° +/- 2°.
Initial timing is set to 8°-10° depending on the engine. (310 or 325 HP) Initial should be set @1100RPM with the vacuum disconnected and plugged, not idle.

I am about to do the same to my old 350 72 Cutlass S, would these be the same settings I will be going for?

For the 72 I believe the only difference will be the base timing only has one setting. Stock should be 8º @1100 RPM. You can get away with more though.

Can you tell me what the point gap should be set at with a feeler gauge when replacingthe points for my 72 350, we just need to get it started to set the dwell. thanks for all your help you guys are a lot of help.
