67 330 block ID

I've read some conflicting information about engine numbers. I have a 67 C/S with the 330, the only information I'm missing is the serial number off of the block. The pad near the number 1 cylinder is blank. Does this indicate a replaced block? Other research I've done indicates that these blocks came unmarked so there's no telling if the current block came with the car.

Thanks in advance.

The pad you are referring to was blank until the 68 model year. What is the large number on the shelf behind the water pump?

When was the car built? There were about 750 1967 330 motors built at the end of the model year that used 1968 350 castings for the block and heads (but still had the smaller 330 bore). This is extensively documented in Service Guild bulletins. As Ed notes, post the casting number next to the oil fill tube. A photo would be best.
