Question 350 Cam installation

1971 cutlass conv w/ 350 4bbl. Do I need to remove the AC "condenser" to change the Cam, or will I have enough "clearance" just removing the Radiator ? Thanks

Yes you need to remove the AC condenser and the front grill. The upright for the hood latch needs to be loosened up or possibly removed.

You may or may not have enough room for the camshaft to fit into the front of the block without moving the condenser but if you damage it, how much will it cost to repair/replace it? What you may be able to do is remove enough of the front of the vehicle to move the condenser farther away from the engine without breaking the A/C lines. I have done this on two vehicles in the past but they were not a '71 Cutlass, so YMMV!

The cam is the same length as the block. A tape measure will tell you if you have enough room or not.

I swapped cams in my car a few times.
Yes, the AC condenser needs to be moved out of the way. I unbolt it, then swing it to the passengers side and tie it to keep it out of the way.
That's all I do - the grille and other items stay in place.
