55 324 questions

I have a 55 324 that threw a bearing and I was wondering where would be the cheapest place to get parts for the engine. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank You!

On a second thought you should try your local parts house first, they may have to order your parts but could be cheaper. I have been surprised what they have available to at times.

324 engine parts

I found the connecting rod bearings at Rock Auto, but I'm not sure if they are correct or not. Thank You for all of your help.

I am heading to my (inlaws) to review two 1957 88. My girlfriends father has two sitting in a field. I have seen them and one has all parts the other is @60% parts available. the owner says i can do what I want with them. So do I part them out and place in storage to sell as the requests come in or sell them both.

If it was me I'd keep them and make a good car out of one of them, but if I was to part with them I would part out the incomplete car and sell the complete car as it self.(whole) Good luck!

navvet,

Where are you located. Several of us might be interested in parts or whole cars. Take pictures

I am in Minnesotta....I am going to the site this weekend and have them towed into a barn. I do know one of the cars is not missing a single part.
