the crossover exhaust pipe wont' let it clear to pull out

Guess.... i have to pull the pipe..?

 

According to the Oldsmobile Shop Manual, you will need to remove the starting motor, the exhaust crossover pipe, and disconnect the idler arm support from the frame.

 

ok. thanks...just got cd with manual
guess i'll actually have to read it!
...wasn't obvious to me easiest spot to disconnect pipe

Also, trying to get piece that covers flywheel off...
loosened all bolt and still stuck!
