403 stroker crank

Is there a stroker crank available for the 403? Has anyone done a big cube 403? Thanks

Can the crankshaft be purchased separately?

Contact Mark. It's his crankshaft design.

Get in line....most of us are putting them in 350’s. Wasn’t going to risk a 403 knowing that had to girdle/fill the block. Nearly went DX but machining is too much money. A 4.185/4.25 small block with 2.5 mains would be golden.

is there currently a source for a 4.25" SBO stroker crank or are you saying that 4.25" is what you see as optimal?

My comment was on the bore size of the block.

My bad. I thought your 4.185 / 4.25 was a bore and stroke combination when you meant it as a bore range.

I suspect 4.25" stroke would be damn near impossible with the SBO short deck.
It appears most D/DX blocks can go to 4.185 without breaking a sweat. 4.250 bore is the upper limit of the good ones. But, all depends on what you consider acceptable wall thickness. The D block I have would have a single non-thrust thin spot at 0.140" @ 4.250".

Dammit Mark - You keep making me seriously consider a bigger cam and thinner head gaskets, then why not open up those head ports, and then that RPM in my attic should get opened up, then can I get my Qjet to keep up, and, and, and. I don’t wanna spend that money and do that much work but you keep on hanging out a bug light, it just keeps drawing me closer…
