Olds seem to like larger carbs. The Street Demon , being very similar to the Qjet, will not be too big.

He said it has been turned once already and looked like it was binding up for a very long time

I've been going through a 350 build for the last few months (actually picking it up tomorrow).
Same Speed Pro -5.8cc pistons (9.4:1), don't bother with Probe because they bull shitted me for 2 months and they aren't making those pistons anytime soon, performer RPM intake, all I did to the heads was have the the oem stuff replaced because if I'm going to get into the heads and the costs associated with machining/valve work etc, I'd rather spend the money for Alm heads. I stuffed a comp cam xe268 in the car to pair up with the stock 2,400 convert+3.73+ 2004r. If I could go back and do it all over again I would've got something custom from Mark R. but this won't be the last motor and I took his advice on a QF Slayer 750 as well.

-Someone wiser than me will correct me but thats a lot of starter for a sub 10.1 motor. I was given a Bosch by the old man as a gift and I think he spent $90.00 on it.

Put in the extra time shopping, I got the quick fuel for 300 and a griffin rad for 220 using internet shopping deal sites like retailmenot.com

Good luck with your build.

Could you post you complete recipe of parts here ? What work was done to the heads etc. Or put up a new thread ? this would help many of us and other newbie's in the future.
Thanks, I hope you get many years of enjoyment out of your new build hope to hear your video soon.

Cheers
Eric

11 to 1 is crazy high, Mark hopefully put a lot of duration in that cam to bleed off cylinder pressure. I hope race fuel or E85 are in the plans.

I agree. 11 to 1 seems really high for iron heads. I thought I was pushing it with my cr. What are the cam specs?
