Mark, I'm having a set of W-31 type pistons being built for me my United Engine & Machine (Silvolite/KB/Icon) The owner and I are friends as well as having a biz relationship, and he was visiting the week before last. Told him I was going to have to go to FM to get a set of L2320F's .030's since UEM no longer offers a piston for this application. On the spot he offered to build me flat top set out of billet, not destroked, clip retained, with the Line2Line "zero clearance" skirt coating, and whatever oversize I wanted. (super pumped since the FM's only go to .030 and I wanted to take it to .060) He offered to put any ring pack I wanted on it, but I asked him to go with the standard set up. I'm pretty sure they will add this P/N to their standard offering in the future.

They've made small block pistons before for Mondello in Paso Robles. I've been told they'll make just about anything in runs of ten sets.
If you have a choice have them done in 4032 and with a more modern ring pack i.e. 1.5, 1.5, 3.00 mm.

Go more modern with the ring pack... you don't want the monster 5/64" rings on there. 1/16-1/16-3/16 would be an improvement, and 1.5-1.5-3 mm would be great.

X3, the old rings wear the cylinders more, have more drag and don't seal as well.
