Can anyone tell me wats the biggest easiest engine to swap with the stock 307 that my 85. 88 royale brougham has now. So i know the 350 olds is a decent engine but I'm lookin to go as big as I can without having to change to much and I would also like to know what trans cam be fitted to the 350 or 403,455.... I have the 200 4r w/overdrive. If you could help n this matter it would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to check out my project n tell me what u think

 

403 is a direct swap. Minor issues with the 455.

 

Does it matter what year car the 403 block comes out of

 

No, all the same 77-79. Just bolt your all your 307 accessories and go. A non CCC carb and vacuum advance hei might work better than the stock computer controlled carb and distributor.

 

Ok awsome cause I just picked up a 79 block earlier today now its time to go shopin for all the innerdes and get it ready for the rebuild thanks for the help
