215 Question (trans options)
Wondering about a possible future project. (day dreamer)
Does the 215 set to use BOP trans bolt pattern? Or are they unique?
And I cant help but wonder how tough it would be to use a 215 with a Vette transaxle.
Its the Mrs. car and currently a 4 speed 66 Volvo wagon. She would like me to make it an atm. Might as well upgrade the engine at the same time.
I think the 215 would be nice since its a small car to begin with.
Can the 215 deliver decent gas mileage?
Thoughts and input welcome.

The 215 uses a unique bellhousing bolt pattern that was only used on those blocks (and the 1961-63 Buick 198 cu in V6). The Rovers also use the same bellhousing, though I'm not sure you want to use a Rover trans.
D&D sells adapter plates to bolt to Chevy and BOP transmissions. They also sell a new manual trans bellhousing.
