2 Barrel to 4 Barrel Adapter

Does any company make a carb adapter that i can use to replace my worn 2 barrel for a new 4 barrel edelbrock?

are there any advantages to this swap besides possible hp power?

this is for a stock 371 intake manifold on a '60 dynamic

thanks!

I've never seen a 2-bbl to 4bbl adapter that looks like it will do any good. It would have to be tall enough to allow for the mixture from primary/secondary to enter the manifold through the old 2-barrel holes.

You should be able to find a used 4bbl manifold for the 371, or even a multi-carb manifold (weren't there 2x3 and 4x2 manifolds?).

JC Whitney used to sell the 2 to 4 adapters...right next to the magic beans and sqaure peg to round hole adapters. A 4 bbl manifold for the 4bbl or fixing the 2 bbl is a much better option.

They do make them and they don't work too well. Like trying to put 2 pounds of poop in a 1 pound bag.

Even better, O'Reilly's has a throttle body setup for non-FI cars. I'm sure there are better ones from Mail Order catalogs available. I mentioned O'Reilly's because I saw their (whose ever) setup and thought it was a great idea if it worked.

Not sure about your fuel pump and distributor compatibility but it might be worth looking into. Probably better performance than a 4bbl carb after application.
