1965 f85 st300 v6

The F85 came with a Rochester BC single barrel and I would like to know if I can install a 2-barrel carb?

Thank you

Yes you should be able to.

The Dauntless V6 is your friend, you need the intake from a 1966 -1967 Jeep that came with this Buick engine 2bbl.

This may assist you in deciding which way to go.

"1965 Dauntless used Rochester BC .
In my estimation it's one of the worst carburetors ever built.

1966 Dauntless used Rocchester 2G or 2GC.
In my estimation it's one of the best carburetors ever built.

Apparently the single barrel manifold tends to limit the volumetric flow on this particular engine."

There is a good chance you could use 3.8L Buick V6 231 Odd Fire manifolds up through 1976. Downside is it would be an EGR manifold. The 225 and the Odd Fire 231 were the same except for a slightly larger bore on the 231. It was .010 larger bore IIRC.

Hi,

Believe there were aftermarket 4bbl intakes made, seen a few posted on V8buick.com over the years.

Regards,
Jim
