Good afternoon all,
After hours of scouring the web, I知 coming up empty handed. I知 restoring the engine bay of my 56 super 88 and need a heater control valve. I do not even have one for a core, so Fusick is out of the question for sure. Are any of the other GM makes compatible? Or does anyone know of a different source? I don稚 even care if it operates, I just want it for appearance purposes.
Thanks!
Check with John (2blu442) on this site he is parting a 54 and a 55 out he may still have a good core. They come up on Ebay from time to time just keep checking sometimes they will be several.... Tedd
If it helps any the Olds parts book shows it as group 8.848, part 569689. The same valve was used from 1954 to 1956 on all Oldsmobiles. That rubber seal between the valve and the firewall is part number 564875. Most of the valve is inside the passenger compartment. Only the hose connections are in the engine compartment. My Chevy parts book doesn't show that part number or group number. I don't have information on the other G.M. divisions. Ranco may have been the manufacturer.(?) I don't know where to find one.
