site suggestion. T shirts

wondering if there could be t shirts made for Classic Oldsmobile? if so has anyone got the ability to make them? also would anyone be interested in them? i would be interested in 2 of them if it is something that could be done. i just thought it would be nice to go to the nationals or other events and see other members of CO while out and about.

I would also like a T-shirt. I have one that ROP did years ago. It is pretty beat up but I still wear it from time to time.

I'll buy one if they can put a '69 442 on the front.

that is what i had in mind. or we could have a couple people do a couple designs like we did for the banner and all vote on them. a local ATV shop had some made. he is a friend of mine. i could ask where he got them done at. the only thing is i don't have much time to do all the shipping stuff.

Yeah, the banners at the top of the page would be cool! I'd buy a couple or more! Who's got the skills

I have screenprinting equipment here. However, our shop just purchased it this month and I am not an expert yet. I have to make a bunch of crooked lousy shirts until I get the hang of it.

They're a couple sites out there that will make custom shirts. Just search "Make your own shirt" on google.

shirts

Yeah you could just order your own shirts but then everyone would have a different shirt. J-(CHICAGO) I have seen it done at places that have different designs and you just pick out what you want and it only takes a couple of minutes. The only thing is to make sure the t-shirt is flat and centered. You could have a little buisness going. I would prefer something that has the site name but also has something like OLDS POWER and the ROCKET in it

I was sort of hoping they would have the 1984 Oldsmobile Firenza on the front.

I could probably design something with an Olds rocket and then hand draw out the site name in 60's style letters. This way, the shirt a) would look vintage, and b) be very cheap to produce, as it will only be one color. The more print colors you want, the more screens needed, and more it costs to make.

This way, maybe we could get some better shirts (American Apparrel) that will hold up and fit better than those oversized gargantuan shirts they seem to make anymore.

Tom, I agree that we should limit the colors of the printing on the shirts. The ROP shirt I have is black with white printing on it. As I recall, it was only about $10 a few years ago.

Now we need a cool catch phrase or quote to go on it.

"OLDSMOBILE" Cause a Chevy don't cut it
"At least OLDSMOBILE isn't made by Government Motors"
"OLDSMOBILE POWER" Respect it or join the long list of losers!
"OLDSMOBILE" The one the Government can't ruin!

T-shirt

I like the idea of a black T-shirt with white lettering. On the front should be classic oldsmobile.com in small letters on the top left of the shirt and on the back in large letters OLDSMOBILE POWER at the top then a representation of the Rocket ( I prefer the older rocket ) below that maybe a list of the rocket engines. You could have a small lettered statement under that as in the above post

Black with white lettering. Cigarette pack pocket. "classicoldsmobile.com" on back across shoulders. I agree with Wolfman. Oldsmobile Power or Rocket Power with a picture of the Rocket on front. "This just might be your father's Oldsmobile" on back.

2 Cents

My 2 cents

1] Most events are held outside in the summer

2] Black is Hot

I agree black shirts are hot in the summer. But I'm a biker in south florida and don't own anything lighter.

how about a black pocket tee with Classic Oldsmobile.com above the pocket with an rocket representation on the pocket and on the back maybe something along the line of....

"NASA isn't the only ones who build rockets"

That is AWSOME! That would make a great line for a T-shirt.

If we don't go black then we should go gray. A white T-shirt attracts dirt and shows age faster.

How about a Cameo White T- shirt with black and gold stripes.

I see a poll in the near future.

We'd also need to get a poll on what style t-shirt--pocket or no pocket.

Mind you, the shirt will be much more expensive with printing on the front and back.

Picture this... Gold shirt with black lettering. Plain front with...

across the shoulders
ClassicOldsmobile.com logo with 50's rocket

in the middle of the back
"NASA isn't the only one who builds rockets"

Then maybe someone could put the other 3 rocket designs in the open area between the two.

Light colored shirts are easy to ruin when you are dealing with old cars. I know this because all my white shirts ar now in my dirty shirt drawer.

If you do something keep it simple. Logo and a cute saying is fine but no picture IMO

I must be a white t-shirt.

My vote is no pocket and light colored w/ dark letters and rocket w/ CO.com someplace.

Nube sends.

white vs black

I am still a fan of black because of the fact that they stay looking nice longer there is no dispute on that. They do attract heat more than white but I really don't notice the difference. CO.com should be there , the older rocket emblem should be there and something about Olds Power or Rocket Power. I want to leave people no doubt about what I am driving , no dear it's not a caddilac

ttt.
I know it is an old thread.

I am talking to my wife about this. I don't have time to mail them all out but i talked my wife into it. I have a local place that can make these if there is enough people wanting some. i have to get a design and price to see if it will be low enough to be worth doing. I think ClassicOldsmobile.com would be good enough on the front but not sure about the back. I don't like the idea of a picture but maybe something like FATRATMATT said, "NASA isn't the only ones who build rockets" maybe a rocket logo? any more thoughts on this?

Any design is good....count me in for some! Just a side, I tend to like the white better because it does not attract heat as the darker colors do....
X2 on no pic

Hope you can arrange for them...

I am up for some... Black is NOT good with the top down here in Florida

Multiple color choices perhaps?

Many of us have cars from 60's and 70's.... TieDye?
