I would prefer not to use Face Book, or any other social networks, and do not mean to offend anyone by that option.
What is the best way to avoid the "incoming friends request" that shows up in the notifcations block?
I did try to uncheck, and save, but it stays active. Do I need to change a setting? Thx

 

Just be mean and nasty in your postings like I am. I never have anyone asking to be my friend!

 

Now you done it! Now everyone is going to friend request you guys.

 

OR, if your goal in life is not to be a pariah, you can log in, go to your User Contol Panel (CP), then "Edit Options", then under "Messaging and Notification", uncheck "Receive Friendship Request Email" and hit "Save Changes" at the bottom of the page.
