Which Forum to use?
I began working on my 41 Series 78 and would like to ask some questions related to the oil pan and engine. I went to the Engine Forum but it only covers Big Blocks, Small Blocks and Non-Olds engine. No option for inline engines. Where should I post?
Frankly, I wouldn't worry much about this. Just pick something close and post. There are many forums on here, but there are still many topics that don't have their own forum when you would think they would. So the person posts in something close. Secondly, most people, when they first come to the site, click the "new posts" link at the top of the page. This brings up all forums with new posts since their last visit. So it really doesn't matter. So whether you post a question about your '41 Olds in the Vintage Oldsmobiles forum. the Toronado forum, or the Parts for Sale forum, it WILL get seen by most people.
The one thing you should NOT do is post the same question in multiple forums. This doesn't increase its exposure, and it can lead to contradictory advice. Keeping it all in one forum usually catches that sort of thing.

As Jaunty said, most people go right to "new posts" and see every new entry. After I'm done looking/responding, some smart person here taught me to go to "quick links" and then click on "mark forums read" . Then I have a fresh start the next time I log in. Maybe there are other ways to do it, but that works for me.
