"Is your email up to date?"

Getting this message on every CO screen I open.

'Splain please before I confirm that it's my email? Sorry but I don't trust anything that asks for my email, SSN or other identifying information out of the blue.

Me too, until I click 'Yes' at which time they go away.

BTW, this discussion has floated around the past 1.5 years...it's legitimate.

It’s Internet Brands reminding members to keep their email address up to date. You need it if you have any issues logging in.

…and I’m caught in some kind of loop & not sure what changes it took, or not. Passwords, emails, 5 rounds and still getting the message/banner.

There can exist various (many) anomalies when instituting these types of user/member confirmation messages on many various web platforms. Most has to do w/ how the developer wrote and instituted the software bits. A certain level of skill & testing is required.

Several considerations troubleshooting come to mind: Which e-mail account was used when the CO member originally signed up on CO and the CO member account was initialized. Has the CO member changed e-mail address since originally signing up? Additionally, in consideration of what I just described, these issues often become problematic if a member/user changes to a Single Sign-On (SSO) when logging in (e.g. using Facebook, Google, Twitter, etc.). I don't work for or have any affiliation w/ IB but I've spent many hours troubleshooting authentication s/w. Sometimes the desired outcome is not always the expected outcome.

I saw the same banner on the Ford Trucks Enthusiast website I frequent. It's also an IB forum.
