Why was my post deleted?

I had a parts for sale post that I went to respond to and it was deleted. Can someone tell me why?

Well I have no idea what parts are even wanted or what they are worth. I just wanted to give olds people a chance to get some parts they need if I happen to have them. I guess I will just send the car and its parts to the crusher.

Post prices you can live with, people will make offers. Another thought list the whole car with a price.

I don't even know what parts I am selling. I was simply offering it up because I have read about things being hard to find. It is fine, I understand your rules. I am unwilling to do the work to figure out the parts and the price that is appropriate. When I am done with the car I will call the junk yard. It saves me a ton of work anyway and also makes my wife happier as the car will be gone sooner.

Then list the whole car for sale. 1 car, one price. Someone will buy it for around the scrap price of $3-500.

Or just call the scrap yard and get the same price without the hassle.

Just post the car and/or parts for sale with a high price and OBO (or best offer) then make reasonable deals on the parts folks want. This way you are within the rules and you can help the Olds community get needed parts.

Well not really. If it was up to me i would have told fellow olds owners that I have a parts car that has parts that I do not need, and if they want them let me know. That way if anything was something hard to find I could save it from being crushed. Unfortunately a place to tell anyone about the hideous beast in my driveway does not exist. The good news is its demo derby season. On a side note though, my wife is on your side. She has found the number of every junk yard within 40 miles, and the boys ranch.

How about simply posting that you have a parts car,, open to offers, and have no idea what it may be worth?. Is that against the rules?.

Seems a better solution than the acrimonious exchange going on here.

Roger.

Roger, a price must be included. The seller can always list it OBO.

I see the o/p point.
I can't understand why a listing I have this parts car from my build if you need something p.m. me ask with offer.
The sight doesn't purge old ads , or when item is sold, but is worried about a price listing for an ad. but not my sandbox.
