Jamesbo,
Is there a trick for those of us with Mac's? Since I can't double click to just grab the ID bar of the picture (like DSCF0531.JPG) , I can't seem to put them into PM's etc.

Zorry, Mac's are Greek to me. I haven't got a clue.

But I don't think you have to double click. Just go to "manage attchaments", hit "brouse", and pick the pcik you want and single click.

Then wait as it up loads.

Then when it's finished up loading, you scroll down in the same box and hit "close this window"

Then hit preview post and see if it isn't there.

As far as I know the pictures on our website can only be about 100k. This is tiny for a .jpeg or .bmp file. I usually post my pics on Flickr.com and add a weblink.

You probably meant http://www.flickr.com/photos/wolfman98/
That one / is a big deal for computers.

One hint is to set your camera to produce pictures that are about 1MB average. This may take experimentation...
This allows both the forum software to downconvert it and it is still big enough for you to zoom in on later on your own. I have seen this site upload a photo as big as 1.4MB. Anything bigger would cause it to freak out and give up...

Since you are using flickr, you can copy the picture's link - right click on biggest picture when in flickr and choose properties; it will look like this: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3368/...394169af44.jpg Click the "insert picture" button at the top of the posting box (circled in red in picture below) and insert your link and hit enter. You will then have a full size picture appear within your thread and it will not be stored on this site.

BTW, nice looking 'vert'! Progress is going well!

After you click on Gallery and that new window comes up you should be able to click on an option "upload". If you follow that, it should work. Pay attention to file size however, some pictures are larger than our server allows and you may have to downsize them first with a photo management program. By the way, glad to have you with us.

My Photos · Albums Favorites Admin · Home · Search · Profile · Upload Photos

It is not really a button, but in the line that ~kinda~ looks like the one i made above. Make sure you are logged in and click Upload Photos.

If that does not help, let us know - hopefully someone else can chime in...

I can load pictures for all to view in a thread, however these pictures are small and are not expandable. I have been using photobucket. Is there a setting that I should use in that software or would another program be better?

go to someone elses thread and find a pic that they have posted in this window. Right click on that image - then click on "open link" this should expand that photo.
