It seems there has been an increase in scam pm’s from new members suggesting contacting a third party for a part they are looking for through an email address. Do not respond to these, simply click on the Report icon in the top right of pm to notify us.
I got a phone call (cell) at 4:30 in the morning by some ******** asking if I got his text. I look (you can do that while talking), and see a text claiming to be Joe Padavano in response to a reply I made on his post.
Without trying to sound like the redneck bigot I am, let's say the caller was not an old white man. I informed him of his stupidity and advised he go hit whatever pipe he's smoking again. Then, I blocked the number and reported spam.
The takeaway here is this: look at the post. I didn't leave my cell number. They sent a text AND called. Stay safe out there, folks.
Don't forget that you can do any e-commerce transactions at your local police department. They often have a parking space reserved with 24 hour video surveillance that's right across the street. If someone isn't willing to meet you to buy those Oldsmobile parts then chances are they don't even exist. Be safe.
