I posted a wanted ad for some parts this morning and soon after got a text saying they had the bumper I was looking for. Kind of weird because I don't think I have my phone # posted anywhere on this site. Googled the # 469-546-5390 and its a known scammer on other sites. Its kind of crazy that they can get your number like that.

 

Please make sure you report suspected scammers with the "Report" button.

 

Is this the only site you posted the parts wanted items? There is no way to get your phone number from this site if it's not posted anywhere on it.

In it were the names, addresses, and telephone numbers of everyone who had a telephone, and the information was right there for the world to see. No one ever gave this more than a second thought except for the few who wanted an unlisted number. But most people did not do this.

Nowadays, people are shocked, shocked I say, to discover that it's still possible to get your phone number, even if you have a cell phone and aren't listed in the local phone book. There are many people-search sites out there that can provide all kinds of information about you.

 

Yes, which is why I thought it was weird and googled the phone #. When you look it up on google it comes up as a scammer #, mostly on foreign car forums. This may be the first try on this forum.

 

There were 2 old threads with your phone listed, I deleted them.

Why is it impossible to report a member or post on here or send a PM?

 

Its not, you just posted lol as far as the report button its the triangle below your post count under your name. Sending a Dm shouldn't be a problem either I do it all the time.
