Thanks much for passing that along. There's also a set in Faribault MN (Craigslist). I was hoping for something a little closer, but nice to see there are some out there. I might just touch base with them and see if shipping is an option.
I ran down there tonight (gotta love Friday night rush hour Twin Cities traffic) and was not disappointed. The guy was super friendly and obviously had a lot of projects going on. He has the equipment to mount/balance tires in his garage, so he hand spun each of the wheels on his machine to show they spun true and didn't have issues.
He had already sandblasted them and primed them, so other than being a little dirty they look great and are nearly ready for paint. The trim pieces will need a little polishing too, but I think they look great too.
Here's a picture of everything I received. He said he had four more wheels if anybody in MN is interested. Thanks again for passing along that information!
Thank you for that advice. I think that would be a very durable solution, but I wanted the work on the car to be a father and sons project, and we're not setup for powder coating.
Therefore, I think we'll just go with regular paint. I'm leaning towards the argent color, but I'll let my kids weigh in and see what they think.
