I'd be tempted, but getting people on CL to mail things, and having any confidence that they will, are both a bit tough.

Sorry...that dude has been smoking a mountain of crack to think that that car is worth more than $1500, and I'm being VERY generous with that amount.
That car is an absolute WRECK and would take close to $80,000 (or more) to make it right. And then you'll end up with a car that MIGHT bring $45,000 - $50,000 when it's all said and done.

1965 442 for sale, not mine.
Very nice original car.
Rare Survivor 1965 65 Olds Oldsmobile 442 4-4-2 original big block car - $19 (Coronado)
http://sandiego.craigslist.org/nsd/cto/5942344787.html
__________________________________________________ ___________
Rare numbers matching 1965 Olds 442 big block car. Purchased from the original owner last year. Parked and garaged for the last 20 years. A real "numbers matching" car with the original metal GM Protecto Plate. The numbers on the Protecto plate match the numbers on the 400 cubic inch big block "B" cylinder head and the metal tag on the transmission as well. Rare optional 3.23 differential gearing. All 5 original "R" code 14x6 stock steel wheels including the spare. Car runs and drives great. A lot of time and money has gone into making it a reliable daily driver. Just registered. California registration is paid up until Nov 2017. I have the factory window sticker when it was purchased new off the dealer lot in 1965. As mentioned the Protecto Plate and a clean California title. This is a rare true example of what a survivor car should look like. Hate to sell but it just isn't practical for me to keep it right now.

DIVORCE SALE of 1972 Oldsmobile W30 455 Engine-Std Bore-Like New (Pahrump)
Very interesting, not mine. He does not list the price.
This engine was sold a little over 2 months ago, a sizeable deposit was left then the engine was never picked up. The person that left the deposit gave called me this January and gave me the go ahead to sell the engine to another buyer and keep his deposit. He can not pay for the rest of it for the foreseeable future due to his money is now tied up in a divorce. If you were interested in it before, it has gotten a lot more financially attractive to buy this engine now. You can see and hear the engine run if you are a serious buyer. His deposit was $1500.00 so it is now being sold at $1500.00 less then before. Crating and shipping is available and at a very reasonable price. Email for details.
This is an Original 1972 Oldsmobile 455 W30 Engine. From Intake to oil pan and water pump to flywheel this is a REAL 1972 W30 engine with REAL 1972 "Ga" W30 cylinder heads and a REAL 1972 W30 Factory aluminum intake manifold. It was found sitting unused and still in the GM crate in an old garage in Arizona and had not been seen since 1975. Having sat for so long, it was taken apart and gone through from top to bottom and is still STANDARD BORE. I have a complete photo rebuild record of every step during the engine rebuild that will go to the new owner.
To even find an original W30 engine for sale in standard bore that has no miles on it is virtually unheard of. It has the correct 1972 Block dated 10-71, the correct "Ga" 1972 W30 Cylinder heads, the correct 1972 W30 Aluminum Intake Manifold. Like most W30 engines, this engine also was originally designed to be used with a manual transmission so the crankshaft has a pilot bearing provision but of course it can always be used with an automatic too without any modifications.
The engine has been meticulously redone from intake manifold to oil pan by Universal Machine Shop in Las Vegas and can be 100% absolutely verified. No expense was spared. If you are restoring your 1970-1972 Oldsmobile 442 and you truly want the best of the best for it, look no further.
The engine block is still Standard bore so there are no overheating worries like there are with .030 or .060 over 455 engines. This engine will also run very well on just pump gas and the heads have been modified to run unleaded fuel.
http://www.442.com/oldsfaq/ofhed.htm#Heads <----For W30 Engine verification numbers and stampings.
Please contact by email if you are seriously interested. Serious CASH offers in person are currently being accepted. He would like for us to sell the engine in complete form however, there is a serious offer on the heads and intake so if the short block sells too, we will take that offer and the engine will be sold in 2 parts. It has remained together and in a car right now that I own, and has been wired and plumbed so it can be started for anyone serious about buying the entire engine. It is easily removed to sell in just over 2 hours.
This engine was built for a 1972 W30 442 currently being restored however the owner has just started divorce proceedings and his money is now tied up for the foreseeable future. We are just going to install a used Base 455 engine in the car to complete it.
No need to upload a million photos. If you are a serious buyer, you know exactly what it's worth and what it looks like, and this one looks great, was built right and is painted in Eastwood Epoxy engine paint in the correct Oldsmobile Blue from that era.
