Body and frame seperated!!!
After 54 years the body lifted off of the frame with out a hitch and what a welcome surprize....no rust or decay on body or frame mating surfaces!!!!

Looking good Dennis!
They come apart a lot faster then they go back together. Good to hear that this one has no rust issues in the frame.
Are you restoring both cars or is the other starfire a parts car?

Very nice job!!
Unless you have found a source for the body mounts , you might try Ames Performance Engineering. They have some mounts for Pontiacs which I believe are close enough to work. At least that's what I'm planning on using on my '63. See page 254 of their catalog showing dimensions of what they have;
